How to redeem a PlayStation code

Go to PlayStation Store, select your profile at the top, choose Redeem Code and enter the 12-digit code. On PS5, open PlayStation Store, press the triangle button and select ... (More), then Redeem Code. The code goes to the account you are signed in with and shows up in its transaction history.

In your browser

  1. Go to store.playstation.com and select your profile at the top.
  2. Select Redeem Code from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the 12-digit code and select Continue.

Some subscription vouchers only work if a card is saved on the account.

On PS5

  1. Go to PlayStation Store and press the triangle button.
  2. Select ... (More), then Redeem Code.
  3. Enter the code and select Redeem.
  4. Select Download if the content needs it.

You can also redeem a code at checkout: choose Redeem Codes and Gift Cards in the payment menu.

On PS4

  1. Go to PlayStation Store, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and select Redeem Codes.
  2. Enter the code, select Continue, then Confirm or Yes.
  3. Select Continue, then Download.

In the PlayStation App

  1. Select the PS Store icon, then the menu icon on the right.
  2. Select Redeem Code.
  3. Enter the code and select Continue.

If the code is not accepted

PlayStation Store voucher codes have 12 digits. A code with 10 digits is a discount code: you enter it in your cart under Enter Discount Code.

If the store says the code has no value until it is activated at the register, contact the retailer.

If the code is already used

Each code works once. Redeemed vouchers appear in your transaction history, so check there first. Funds and content can't be moved between accounts.

If the code is for another region

The code must match your account's region. On physical vouchers, the region is shown as a printed flag.

On Keyfinder, keys marked Global or Europe activate on accounts in Germany and the rest of the EU, and they are listed first.

Can I redeem a PSN code without a console?

Yes, on store.playstation.com in a browser or in the PlayStation App.

Can I change my account's region to use a code from another country?

No. An account's region can't be changed, so the code has to match it.

Can I redeem wallet credit on a child account?

No. Wallet top-ups for a child account must be redeemed on the family manager's account.
