How to redeem a Battle.net code

Log in to your Account Overview at account.blizzard.com/overview, enter the code in the Redeem a Code box and click Redeem Code. In the Battle.net desktop app, click your profile icon in the top right corner and choose Redeem Code. Game keys, Blizzard Balance, game time and promo codes all go through the same place. Call of Duty bonus codes go to callofduty.com/redeem instead.

On the Battle.net website

  1. Log in to your Account Overview at account.blizzard.com/overview.
  2. Enter the code in the Redeem a Code box.
  3. Click Redeem Code.

Some codes, such as Blizzard Balance cards, only work after the cashier has activated them.

In the Battle.net desktop app

  1. Log in to the Battle.net desktop app.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click Redeem Code.

In the Battle.net mobile app

  1. Log in to the app.
  2. Tap your BattleTag.
  3. Choose Redeem Code from the dropdown.

If the code does not work

If your account already has the product, you may not be able to use the code. Promo codes can expire. Each code works once, and after that it can't be sold, traded or gifted.

If the code is locked to another region

Some codes have regional restrictions, and Blizzard says you cannot use a code that doesn't belong to your region.

On Keyfinder, keys marked Global or Europe activate on accounts in Germany and the rest of the EU, and they are listed first.

Call of Duty keys and bonus codes

A Call of Duty key for Battle.net goes in the same Redeem a Code box as any other game key. Call of Duty bonus codes are different: you enter them at callofduty.com/redeem. Activision lists the errors you may see there as Invalid Code, Code Already Redeemed and Max Limit Reached.
