Is Loaded (formerly CDKeys) legit? What to know before you buy

Loaded is the new name of CDKeys, a game key store that says it has sold keys since 2013. Loaded is not a marketplace: you buy from the store itself, not from individual sellers. According to its terms, customers in Europe buy from This Game LLC of Cheyenne, Wyoming (USA); the platform belongs to Game Technologies FZCO in Dubai.

Phone number, ID and VPN

To get the keys you bought, the terms require you to verify your phone number through an automated system. Loaded may also ask for a copy of your ID and refuse orders it considers fraudulent. With a VPN, a proxy or a VoIP number, an order takes longer and may be cancelled.

Which offers does Keyfinder show?

Keyfinder compares Loaded's game keys for Steam, Ubisoft Connect, the EA app, GOG, Epic Games, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch that activate worldwide or in Europe, plus gift cards and memberships such as PlayStation credit or Game Pass. If the product name includes a region such as "(Europe & UK)", the key only works there.

Prices and availability come from Loaded's product catalog and can change before you buy. Check the total on the last checkout step.

Refunds and pre-orders

Loaded refunds at its own discretion and reviews each request individually. Redeemed keys and games you have already played are excluded, and you have to ask within 7 days of the key being delivered. If the purchase is more than 120 days old, Loaded refunds at most as a gift card or Koins, the store's loyalty points.

Pre-order prices can change until release. If Loaded cancels a pre-order, you get the price you paid back.

Purchases and affiliate links

You complete the purchase at Loaded. Keyfinder is an approved Loaded affiliate through Impact and may earn a commission when you buy through one of our links. Keyfinder does not sell or deliver keys itself.
